ABOUT US

Introduction

Founded in September 2016, Samjota Foundation is a Mumbai-based non-governmental organization (Regn. 1876) promoting welfare by serving under-priviliged and marginalized communities. We believe in supporting and empowering these communities with an aim to bring about parity in society.

Since its inception, Samjota has raised funds and donated commodities to homes for the visually-impaired, cancer foundations, old age homes, orphanages, transgenders and acid victims.

At the onset of the pandemic, Samjota was quick to respond to the plight of poor people fighting hunger. We distributed groceries to approximately 300 families every day till the end of the pandemic. Samjota did a lot of on-ground work with the underprivileged through the last two years.

We are encouraged by the willingness of our donors to support  Samjota in our humanitarian efforts by donating for the same.
